On his first tournament of the 2012 season Lucas Leite starts on TOP winning a gold medal!!! He entered in the Abu Dhabi Trials in New York for today’s tournament. After competing in 5 victorious matches, he has earned his way to fight in Dubai for the Abu Dhabi World Profesional Jiu Jitsu Championships! After nearly four years in the USA, Lucas Leite finally found his way home back to Brazil to visit his friends in family. While there, he had great success with his training, seminars, privates and reuniting with old training partners and teammates. Most importantly he FINALLY got to return home to visit his family! Lucas Leite and Carlos Vieira give out their 1st American Black Belt…… Chris Franco started training BJJ under the late Carlson Gracie in 1995, in 2002 he stopped training completely. Chris met Leo Vieira in 2002 thru Vitor Belfort and became close friends. Leo and Chris opened the Leo Vieira BJJ academy and started training once again. Lucas Leite took over the BJJ academy in 09 and with the support of Carlos Vieira surprised Chris with his black belt on May 26th. Chris said he is so honored to be a part of the team and to wear a Black Belt under the Leo Vieira Team…..
